Hero MotoCorp has announced another delay in introducing its first electric scooter under the Vida sub-brand.

This scooter was initially scheduled to be released in March 2022.

It has been scheduled to launch in July 2022, but Hero Electric says it can also happen during the festive season.

That means customers can ride in theri favorite Hero Vida by next September 2022.

The delay is due to the common reason that all significant electric players face.

Hero claims to be dealing with enormous supply chain challenges and a shortage of various components.

The main issue is the scarcity of semiconductors.

Several recent launches have had to be postponed due to the shortage of semiconductors.

One of the most specific brands which have already faced the issue is the KTM RC 390.

The motorcycle is scheduled to launch in early January but just has hit the market in May 2022

Hero MotoCorp's collaboration with Gogoro will further strengthen their quality of developing new-age Hero Electric Scooters.

The existing range of Hero ICE scooters inspires the design of the new Hero Vida electric scooter.

The new Hero Vida electric will have split seats, which will allow for two under-seat compartments.

The one compartment is for the removable battery pack and one for storage, comparable to Gogoro's e-scooters.

The scooter will have sleek alloy wheels, a telescopic fork up front, and drum breaks at both ends.

Once launched, the Hero Electric Scooter will give a solid challenge for Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, TVS iQube Electric, Bajaj Chetak, and Simple One
