The 2022 Ford Maverick and 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz faced off in off-road competition.

The Hyundai Santa Cruz and Ford Maverick demonstrated distinct advantages and disadvantages while climbing hills

The Santa Cruz was sliding quite a bit because it had standard tires.

The hill descent control slowed the truck down, but the tires soon lost traction. The dual-clutch might overheat quickly as well.

Maverick lacks a 360-degree camera. However, it has more gripping, narrower tires with more tread.

Santa Cruz was losing momentum and sliding back down the slope on the more challenging sections of the course.

The steeper elevation is a little bit simpler for the Maverick to climb.

The off-roading obstacles were difficult for both trucks, but the Santa Cruz had a little more difficulty.

Larger tires may have aided both trucks, but the Maverick triumphed in the off-roading contest.

Both trucks are small and functional. Although the Maverick is marginally superior for off-road driving

With the inclusion of the Tremor package, the Ford Maverick will become a more efficient off-road vehicle than the Hyundai Santa Cruz.
