The Ford Maverick is likely to be the model year 2023 carryover.

However, customers may find the 2023 Maverick the most cost-effective way to purchase the pickup's hybrid model.

Due to great demand, Ford stopped processing orders for the 2022 Maverick Hybrid around December 2021.

As a result, prospective buyers' reservations may be delayed and converted to a car for the 2023 model year.

The Maverick is a compact pickup smaller than the Ford Ranger and has a wider consumer appeal.

The vehicle is expected to appeal to non-pick-up owners because of its fuel economy rating of up to 40 mpg.

According to reports, Ford will begin collecting orders for the 2023 Maverick in August, with manufacturing beginning in October.

Official pricing for the 2023 Maverick has not been released, but we expect it to resemble current Maverick pricing closely.

For reference, the hybrid model starts at $21,490 plus destination, while the gas model starts at $22,575 plus destination.

The truck competes with the Hyundai Santa Cruz and many midsized trucks such as the Chevy Colorado and Toyota Tacoma.
