Electric SUVs have many advantages, including zero emissions and superior performance over most gas-powered SUVs.

However, one disadvantage of EV SUVs is their high entry price.

The 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV is the first new electric SUV that costs less than $30,000 in the United States.

Although Fisker promises that the 2024 PEAR electric SUV will start at $29,900, it will not be available until 2024.

Considering the inflation, there is no certainty that the PEAR will remain this low in two years.

The Bolt EUV 2023 is less expensive, almost $6,300 cheaper than the previous model year.

The main reason for the low pricing is the aftermath of the fires.

With the cheaper pricing, the automaker may be attempting to recoup some goodwill from EV customers.

Chevy may have decreased the price of the Bolt EUV to make it more affordable to compensate for the unavailability of the federal EV tax credit.

While the recent fires may have dampened some enthusiasm for the Bolt EUV, its low pricing cannot be overlooked.
