On March 19, Bajaj Auto-submitted a trademark application for the name "Bajaj Blade."

'Blade' was previously linked with Bajaj in the form of a scooter.

The new Bajaj Blade could be the name of the brand's following EV for India, similar to how the Chetak reappeared as an electric scooter.

As with the increasing popularity of electric scooters, this could be the direction Bajaj is heading.

Because Bajaj already sells the Chetak EV, the new Bajaj Blade might be aimed at a mass-market with a new design and features.

It is assumed that Bajaj Blade could target the younger generation.

Currently, Bajaj Chetak costs Rs 1.42 lakh as the Ex-showroom price in Bangalore.

Bajaj may launch a petrol gearless version to counter the market of Honda Activa with 'Blade.'

In terms of pricing, the Bajaj Blade would be slightly more expensive than the Chetak, which is now available for Rs 1,53,588.
